At the keynote event, which will take place on the first day, Apple will “offer unique insight” of what it will bring to iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS and watchOS. Apple users will be getting to know about all the new features that will be rolled out later this year with iOS 15, macOS 12, watchOS 8, and more.
“We are working to make WWDC21 our biggest and best yet, and are excited to offer Apple developers new tools to support them as they create apps that change the way we live, work, and play,” said Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations and Enterprise and Education Marketing.
WWDC is a platform for student developers to showcase their coding skills and Apple is now accepting submissions for the Swift Student Challenge, an opportunity for student developers to showcase their love for coding by creating their own Swift playground.
“Now through April 18, students can submit their Swift playground to the Swift Student Challenge. Winners will receive exclusive WWDC21 outerwear and a pin set,” said Apple in a press statement.
Besides the keynote, the WWDC21 will include announcements from State of the Union events, online sessions, 1:1 labs for developers, and new ways for developers to interact with Apple engineers and designers.
Apple has asked developers to download the Apple Developer app where it will be sharing information in advance of WWDC 2021.
